Welcome to Zip Line Kit. Kids all over the world have hours of fun with Zip Lines and it is very easy to set one up in your garden. As long as you have the space you can grab a kit and easily get started. One of the important things to consider is safety, when selecting a zip line kit you need to make sure it is made from quality components to assure your kids can play without worrying about injuries. Most zip lines are not designed to take the weight of an adult with the majority of the products aimed at children between the ages of 5-14. It is also recommended to use a helmet when riding and these will need to be purchased separately.
You can setup your backyard zip line between a couple of trees, if you do not have trees in the right place then you can buy a couple of straight garden poles and cement them in. Some families have even built them across the swimming pool with the idea to drop in the water rather than finish the ride. This can be dangerous for smaller children and is not recommended.
The ultimate zip line plan would be to build a tree house with your zip line running out the side down to the grass. Obviously this is much harder to set up and will cost quite a bit more.
You can either buy the parts separately depending how you want to construct it or you can get everything you need in one kit (excluding helmet in most cases). You will need a zip line trolley (the part that runs on the cable), length of stainless steel cable and terminators for the wires of which there are many suitable products available. If you are constructing using trees in your garden then you might also have to buy a ladder so the kids can climb up.
Feel free to look around the site where you will find all the information you need to get started, whether you want to build your own zip line out of parts or buy a kit with everything included.
Most importantly happy zip lining!!
